Letters goes to print today, May 16, 2022.
Phillip Kane was advised of the news by his publisher, John Hunt Publishing. From the time Letters goes to print, it will be on shelves ready for sale in six weeks.
In the meantime, the process of filling distributor and retailer stocks will be undertaken.
The Not So Subtle Art of Caring: Letters on Leadership, Kane’s first effort and a finalist for the 2022 Eric Hoffer Prize, is currently available for pre-order whoever great books are sold. Letters is a manual of sorts for those who are looking for an alternative to the insensitive, command and control style of leadership that has dominated corporate structures for over 100 years and which has been largely responsible for the nearly 50 million departures of the “Great Resignation.” In Letters, Kane provides historical artifacts that prove it is not a requirement of leadership to choose between winning and treating others with kindness and that the supposed tradeoff between productivity and better treatment of employees is pure myth.
